The major source of sand that is used in a variety of industries is Quartz. Quartz is mined in the form of Vein quartz, however, there are often other forms of Quartz that are used in the production process. The third stage of the process is to remove any impurities that are present in the mix. These impurities can include mica, heavy minerals, feldspar, and oxides.

Finally, the Silica is washed and dried.
